Ever since the pandemic outbreak, the concept of work-from-home (which ultimately turned to working from your favourite destination) has taken off, and travellers are exploring exotic locales while doing their 9-5. If you’re one such digital nomad, we have some news. According to a recent study, Sri Lanka is the most wallet-friendly country to stay at.

The research has been conducted by Flamingo App and uses markers such as the average cost of living (including rent, food, transport and utility bills) against the average full-time salary in the UK and the US, which is at GBP 2,773 (HKD 124,717) and USD 5,158 (HKD 40,369) per month respectively. The rankings have been collated in the form of their Digital Nomad Rich List which grades more than 50 countries that offer a digital nomad visa.

According to their research, Sri Lanka offers the best value for money, followed by Argentina, Colombia & North Macedonia, Indonesia and Malaysia.
