Hyatt Regency Delhi Marks 40 Years Of Excellence, Style, And Hospitality

Having established itself as the pioneer of hospitality in the national capital, Hyatt Regency Delhi recently marked its 40th year. Travel+Leisure India & South Asia looks at how the luxury hotel celebrated this massive feat.

With a legacy dating back to 1983, Hyatt Regency Delhi has set the benchmark for luxury, remarkable services, delicious food and beverages, and unforgettable experiences in the national capital. To celebrate this momentous occassion, the team rolled out a series of gastronomic experiences and new additions.

40 Years of Hyatt Regency Delhi

The 40-year celebrations at Hyatt Regency Delhi started with the Gaggan residency in February, where the hotel brought the legendary Chef Gaggan Anand’s innovative culinary creations to its patrons. A week-long pizza festival at La Piazza followed suite where Chef Ciro Sorrentino–who is regarded as one of the best pizzaiolos in the world–crafted pizza variations from around the world. At Café, flavours of Rampuri cuisine were brought to life at an exclusive Rampuri Food Festival with Chef Mujibur Rahman. The celebrations at Café continued with a new nostalgic menu featuring old and timeless delicacies that have stood the test of time.

Beyond food, the party at Hyatt Regency Delhi continued with a special unveiling: the Presidential Suite. Designed exclusively for Heads of State, dignitaries, and those seeking an unparalleled experience, this extraordinary two-bedroom suite offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city. With an exquisite master bathroom, a state-of-the-art home theater, a well-equipped office, a sprawling drawing, dining, and lounge area featuring a cigar corner and high-end bar, a kitchenette, a private gym, and a serene patio, this suite epitomises luxury.

A Memory Wall has also found a spot at the hotel. An interactive installation, this lobby-level artwork allows guests to reminisce about their experiences at the hotel over the past four decades. Guests can pen down their fondest memories and share their stories, creating a captivating mosaic of cherished moments that showcase the hotel’s rich legacy.

Reflecting on this milestone, Shrikant Wakharkar, the General Manager of Hyatt Regency Delhi, says, “We are proud and humbled to celebrate 40 years of delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. This achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support and trust of our valued guests, dedicated staff, and stakeholders. As we commemorate this milestone, we recommit ourselves to our core values of providing world-class hospitality and caring for people so that they can be their best. As a token of gratitude to our esteemed guests and loyal patrons, we would like to express our profound appreciation for their love, support, and patronage throughout the years. Their trust and loyalty have shaped the hotel to be the iconic landmark it is today.”
