The legendary Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, one of the most iconic symbols of the city, has embarked on an exquisite journey into a brand-new era by blending historical opulence with modern elegance as part of its new image. Following an extensive redesign project, the hotel now boasts a seamless combination of rich historical textures and contemporary aesthetics.

Managed by Kempinski, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul has undergone a poetic transformation, resulting in a hotel building even more impressive than its earlier avatar. Ottoman Art Expert Serdar Gülgün has played a pivotal role in the hotel’s renaissance, infusing the property with a timeless identity.

As guests step into the hotel’s redesigned section, they are transported back in time by the awe-inspiring entrance and lobby. Lattice columns, a dome-shaped ceiling, and specially designed chandeliers create a unique fusion of modernity and Ottoman grandeur. The floor is paved with podima pebbles inspired by the gardens of Topkapı Palace, and a marble ornamental fountain to further enhance the splendid atmosphere. 

The redesigned rooms and suites masterfully reflects the traditional magnificence of the Ottoman Empire, with Serdar Gülgün’s creative touches adding to the splendour. Striped corridors, headboards adorned with cintemani and tulip patterns, and mother-of-pearl furniture evoke the opulence of the past. Marble bathrooms pay homage to the Turkish bath tradition, and the top-level suite offers an extraordinary experience with its fascinating designs and Bosphorus-view balconies. 

New Restaurants

Moreover, Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul has also introduced two new restaurants that are not only distinguished by their design, but also by their gastronomic experiences. Akdeniz by Esra Muslu delights guests with a unique Mediterranean cuisine theme. With a large seating area and wood fire-cooked dishes prepared for sharing, the restaurant charms guests with its Mediterranean-themed decorations and enchanting Bosphorus views. 

Gazebo, another new addition, offers Ottoman garden art reimagined for the present. Its interior, adorned with natural elements and a magnificent ornamental fountain, exudes the elegance of Ottoman flowers like rose, tulip, carnation, and hyacinth. The four separate square seating groups, each reflecting the charm of a specific flower, add to the ambience’s heartwarming harmony.
