At Travel+Leisure India & South Asia, it has been our perpetual endeavour to curate the most exceptional experiences from around the world for a travel palate as refined as yours, dear reader. The Adviser List (A-List) is another significant stride in this direction. By Team T+L
With 11 experts from realms as diverse as photography, hospitality, gastronomy, adventure tours, storytelling, fashion designing, and more, we will now bring you cutting-edge travel and lifestyle insights straight from the horse’s mouth. Meet Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi, a celebrated author and a member of our first ever A-List.
Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi broke into the literary limelight with his debut novel, The Last Song of Dusk, in 2004. The magical book won the Betty Trask Award and the Premio Grinzane Cavour for the Best Debut Novel. In the 15 years since, the writer hasn’t looked back. His latest book, The Rabbit and The Squirrel: A Love Story about Friendship, donned the rarely worn garb of ‘a fable for grown-ups’. As a writer, Shanghvi says he’s always aboard Imagination Express. He lives in a cosy Goa home when in India, but he loves to travel for “food and sensual pleasure to places where marijuana is legal.” A frequent contributor of immersive narratives to Travel+Leisure India & South Asia, Shanghvi knows how to travel in style—with a finger placed firmly on the pulse of the place.
“Travel is how I am thoroughly and immediately present in myself, as lucky witness to extraordinary visions and experiences.”
