A Review of Miss Pinto
Cuisine
Miss Pinto serves signature delicacies from all over the world. The focus, however, is more on Continental dishes.
We Recommend
Appetiser
For appetisers, you can pick from the section of the menu titled ‘Quarter Plates’ or ‘Half Plates’ if there are two of you. Hot Shrimps (INR 575++) from the latter comes in a generous portion size, with mayo drizzle, and is warm and crunchy. Miss Pinto Fried Chicken (INR 525++) comes with a twist–beneath the crispy outer layer is a secret cashew sauce that compliments the flavour of the chicken.
Main Course
From the Sharing Plates, go for the Braised Lamb Shoulder (INR 875++), which is also one of the best dishes on the menu. The meat is really tender and melts in the mouth. The truffle mash and porcini jus lend the right flavours to it making it a heart meal. Another main course item that stands out is the Mezza Luna (INR 795++) that comes in a pool of red pepper sauce. The pasta is filled with minced chicken and leeks, and it only takes seconds to polish off this soulful dish.
Dessert
The Toffee Banana Pudding (INR 425++) with walnut, salted caramel, honey, and ice cream is great if you like the combination of cold and warm. For chocolate lovers, I suggest Dark Fantasy (INR 425++) with dark chocolate and walnut. It is served with berry compote and sorbet to undercut the strength of the chocolate.
Drinks
The drinks menu here is extensive. There are extensive varieties of whiskey, vodka, tequila, rum, and gin, brandy, beer, champagne, wine, and more. Each cocktail on the menu comes with a small story about the region it is inspired by. La Pasion (INR 695++) from Madrid, for instance, has been inspired by the mixologist’s experience of being propositioned by an Andalusian gentleman to flamenco on the tabletop of a bar. It has vodka, aperol, passion fruit, mango, lime, and sparkling wine–fruity and tropical.
Under Miss Pinto’s summer edition menu is Batch no 42 (INR 695++), a gin-based drink with strawberry and rose puree, elderflower, lime, and ginger ale.
Our Takeaway
Miss Pinto is ideal for a weekend brunch or late evening catch-up with friends. The bar menu is the highlight so do not skip it.
