Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2023 reveals our readers’ picks of the best integrated resorts. Tons of restaurants, family entertainment, gaming and luxury all under one roof. Who needs to leave property?
INTEGRATED RESORTS ARE MUSHROOMING across the region, with new countries welcoming them with open arms in a post-pandemic bid to attract more tourists. Look no further than Japan, which in April gave the nod to build the country’s first integrated resort in Osaka. This year sees some new entries and firm favorites make it onto the list of best integrated resorts.
Famed for its mass of integrated resort offerings, it comes as no surprise that Macao dominates the list. The striking 39-story The Venetian Macao, which holds the title of the world’s second largest casino, has emerged the winner. The staggering one-million-square-meter complex is modeled on the romantic canals and boulevards of Italy’s Venice – a slice of Europe in the heart of Asia. A new opening, Hoiana Resort & Golf, takes third best in Asia Pacific 2023, where Vietnam’s first integrated resort is breathing new life into a stretch of white sands near Danang and Hoi An.
