The Maldives is already home to some of the world’s most luxurious brands – and yet… we’ve got word on several more top-notch hotels coming in for a landing in the stunning archipelago, further cementing it as a five-star tropical paradise. Never thought we’d say this, but 2027 can’t get here fast enough.
PARADISE ISLAND GALORE. Inviting clear waters. Powder white sands. If this isn’t enough to entice you to dive into the Maldives, then check out the upcoming arrivals of these jaw-dropping hotels set to deliver the ultimate wow factor. It’s been a little while since a diamond-status opening in the Indian Ocean nation, and while the new SO/ Maldives on the third island of CROSSROADS might be on your radar, we thought you should start drooling now over these three extra-bling resorts coming soon to the world’s most coveted island destination.
Rosewood Ranfaru
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts recently announced it will debut (at last!) in the Maldives in the form of Rosewood Ranfaru, in 2027. Embracing luxury, privacy and a connection to nature, the exclusive resort will stretch across a chain of private islands that flank a lagoon in the South Male Atoll. This means it’s only a 35-minute yacht ride or 10-minute seaplane from clearing immigration before you can sink your toes into warm sands.
With about 120 beachfront and overwater villas to choose from – each with their own private pool – the resort will boast a range of restaurants, a beach club, a wellbeing and fitness center, numerous pools to dip into, oh-so-on-trend padel courts, and plenty of water sports to keep you entertained.

Bulgari Resort Ranfushi
Elsewhere, uber-luxe Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to open Bulgari Resort Ranfushi in 2025. Set on the stunning Raa Atoll, it takes in 20 hectares of pristine natural beauty. The definition of exclusivity incarnate, the resort will have only 54 rooms, including 33 beach villas and 20 overwater villas. What’s the final guest accommodation? The ultimate high-roller Bulgari Villa, which sits on a private island just for you alone.

Six Senses Kanuhura
If two to four years seems too long to experience a new generation of Maldives luxury, then Kanuhura Maldives resort aims to start welcoming guests under the Six Senses brand in September. Positioning sustainability at the heart of its operations, it features a dreamy collection of 91 overwater villas and family suites scattered across three private islands, with a turquoise lagoon at your feet. An unmissable experience: indulging in a private picnic on a deserted island.
